The Madrid City Council has begun the procedure to expropriate the land where it will refurbish the Nudo Norte, the prelude to Operation Madrid Nuevo Norte, the largest urban and real estate planning project in Spain.
The direct occupation, as permitted by law, will allow work to begin to adapt the North Junction of Calle 30 and its connections with Paseo de la Castellana, Carretera M-11, Calle 30 and Carretera M-670. The construction will help reduce problems with traffic congestion and prepare the area for the development of the Madrid Nuevo Norte.
