The deputy mayor of Madrid, Begoña Villacís, has announced during the ‘State of the City’ debate that the first meeting has already been held with the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda with a view to launching Operación Campamento.
The objective of these meetings is to reactivate the urban development of land that formerly housed the Campamento barracks, after more than 12 years of paralysis. The agreement will make way for the construction of 10,500 new homes in the city.
