Madrid has positioned itself as the most dynamic market in Spain for the sale of both new-build and second-hand homes. The region accounted for 21.1% of all new home transactions in the Spanish market during the first half of the year, according to a study carried out by Colliers International.
Specifically, one in every five new-build operations was registered in Madrid and the second most active province was Barcelona. During the first six months of the year, the Community of Madrid increased its figures compared to the same period a year earlier, up by 2.9% in the first quarter and by 1.2% in the second.
