The pandemic has also affected the market for leasing properties, albeit to a lesser extent in the logistics sector. Nevertheless, places like Málaga and Barcelona are now experiencing a shortage of sufficient and appropriate stock to cater to the changes being seen in the sector.
In the case of Málaga, according to data obtained by the consulting firm CBRE, 25,000 m2 of logistics space was leased in the area during 2020, which represents a decrease of 20% compared to 2019, when more than 31,000 m2 was rented.
