Logistics Investment in Spain Falls by 50% Despite Strong Leasing Figures

Between January and September, 1.2 million m² of logistics space was leased with very positive data in the Central Region, Sevilla and Zaragoza; meanwhile, logistics investment amounted to 651 million euros.

In total, 1,197,000 m² of space was leased in the logistics sector in Spain between January and September 2020, according to a report by the real estate consultancy CBRE.

Leasing in the Central Region reached 635,000 m² and included six operations involving warehouses larger than 25,000 m², mostly on the A-2 and A-42 corridors. More than 50% of the space leased was related to the e-commerce industry. Industry sources expect the year to end with more than 800,000 m² of space leased in the Central Region.
