Flexible spaces, which have experienced a rapid rate of expansion over the last five years, have suffered from the impact of Covid-19. So much so that the rental of new space by the main operators has collapsed during the first nine months of this year.
Specifically, in Madrid, just 6,000 square metres of new space was leased by flexible operators during the first nine months of the year, whilst in Barcelona, no new transactions were registered during the same period, according to the ‘2020 El Flex to Exam ‘ report from CBRE.
