The Spanish real estate sector has registered the second-best investment figure of the first quarter since 2008, which marked the peak of a bubble in the sector. In this way, during the first three months of 2022, more than 4.3 billion euros were invested in real estate assets, according to CBRE.
The 4.3 billion figure recorded in Q1 2022 is 2.5 times higher than the volume registered in the first quarter of 2021, making it the second-best first quarter in history after 2008, say sources at the consultancy. Madrid and Barcelona accounted for more than half of the total investments.
