The real estate sector will remember 2022 as a turning point away from its great results and towards the start of uncertainty. So far this year, the retail market has performed well, shaking off the stagnation to which it was condemned by the pandemic in Spain. During the period from January to September, there was a general improvement in the main figures compared to 2021 with 26% more sales, 14% more customers and 23% more investment.
All this was accompanied by moderate growth in online commerce, which is becoming a key ally, according to the annual report from Savills Research Retail in Spain. The consultant regards this context positively in the face of the important challenges facing the sector over the short and medium term.
