A prominent group of investment funds and real estate companies has already approached the leadership of the Popular Party to inquire about the party’s headquarters in Madrid, which it recently announced that it was going to vacate.
The party president assured that the party would leave its headquarters, which has been located on Calle Genova since 2006, and which it acquired from the insurer Mapfre for 37 million euros. Prior to 1983, the party’s headquarters was situated on Calle Silva, also in the centre of Madrid, before it moved to its current home, which it rented from Mapfre until the purchase.
