Real estate investment by the insurance sector, excluding pension funds, exceeded 10 billion euros at the end of September, -it amounted to 10.5 billion euros, to be specific -, a figure that has remained constant in recent years.
To put this into context, only one businessman overshadows that figure in terms of quality and diversity on a personal basis. Pontegadea, the company that groups together the properties of businessman Amancio Ortega, the owner of Inditex, currently holds assets valued at 15.2 billion euros and located all over the planet.
