ING has filed a lawsuit in the United Kingdom against the entity chaired by Ana Botín for 11.5 million euros for the interest relating to a financial swap associated with the purchase agreement of the Ciudad Financiera, according to Vozpópuli.
An ING spokesperson has explained that the legal action has been initiated in the United Kingdom because the swap is governed by British law and is subject to the jurisdiction of that country. “It is not unusual when the subject of a legal proceeding affects different countries, and when one of them is the United Kingdom, for the group to refer to their courts,” added the spokesman.
