In August, house sales maintained the recovery they started in July. Specifically, in the eighth month of the year, a total of 31,394 operations were recorded in the property registers, down by 12.1% compared to August 2019 and a decrease of 3.9% compared to the previous month, according to the statistics published on Friday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
That represents the second-highest monthly figure since the Covid-19 pandemic was declared, after July when 32,654 homes were transacted.
