House Sales Grew by 3.5% in November to Reverse the Decrease Recorded in October

The number of homes sold increased by 3.5% in interannual terms in November 2020, whilst the number of mortgages constituted rose by 1.5%, according to data from the College of Registrars.

According to data from the College of Registrars, the total number of sales registered in November 2020 compared to the same month in 2019 increased by 6.2%, whereby reversing the fall recorded in October. The rise was similar to that registered in September, when house sales increased by 5.3%, the first positive value since the outbreak of the pandemic.

House sales also increased by 3.5% in November in annual terms, after falling in October (by -13.4%). This latest data from the housing sector stands out because it is the first positive annual variation since the start of the pandemic.
