32,332 homes were sold in March, down by 37.5% in inter-annual terms, according to statistics published by the General Council of Notaries.
By type of home, flat sales saw a year-on-year reduction of 38%. That decrease in the sale of private flats was driven by reductions in both new build properties, which saw a decline of 37.5%, and second-hand units (-37.4%). Meanwhile, the sale of single-family homes decreased by 35.8% compared to the same month a year earlier.
