
The purchase of private homes by foreigners grew again during the second half of 2019, after the decline recorded in the first half of the year, according to statistics published by the General Council of Notaries.
During H2 2019, 50,522 operations were closed, up by 0.5% compared to the second half of 2018. Operations carried out by foreign buyers accounted for 18.7% of the total number of home purchases made during the period, in line with the average between 2012 and 2018.
