The price of private housing increased by an average of 2.1% in 2020 compared to the previous year. This increase represents its seventh consecutive annual rise albeit the smallest since 2014, according to data published on Tuesday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).
Specifically, the price of new-build homes grew by 6.5% during the year, i.e. by eight tenths less than in 2019, to accumulate seven years on the rise.
