During 2020, the year of the pandemic, house prices recorded a year-on-year decrease of 1.8% to 1,622.3 euros per square metre, according to data published on Wednesday by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and the Urban Agenda (Mitma).
On the basis of Mitma’s historical series, that means that house prices have ended their five-year streak of consecutive increases: from an average price of 1,490.1 euros per square metre at the end of 2015, property values have always risen in the last period of the year.
