Hotels have been one of the assets most affected by the Covid-19 crisis as a result of the decline in tourism. However, during the first half of the year, hotel investment in Spain grew by 52% compared to the same period a year earlier, to reach a total volume of 700 million euros, according to data from Cushman & Wakefield.
On the other hand, the volume of hotel asset transactions in Europe exceeded 5,700 million euros during the first half of 2020, according to the Marketbeat Europe Hospitality report, also presented by the consultancy. It highlights that Spain was one of the few countries on the continent with a positive evolution during H1 2020 compared to the first half of last year.
