
Home mortgage appraisals in Spain increased by 57.3% y-o-y in the first half of 2021, to 233,300. According to the Spanish Association of Value Analysis (AEV), the figure was slightly above that of 2018, a new high, according to the Spanish Association of Value Analysis (AEV).
Furthermore, the average appraisal reached €212,000 between January and June this year, up 3.8% compared to the first six months of 2020.
It is worth noting that the average value of appraised homes has been growing steadily since 2014. According to the AEV, this is due to rising market prices and changes in the properties appraised, which are now larger and located in more expensive areas.
