Habitat Increases its Turnover in 2020 and Eyes Up New Land Acquisitions

Habitat's CEO, José Carlos Saz, has said in an interview with Brainsre.news that the property developer will maintain its investment plans after increasing its revenues this year.

Created in 1953 in Barcelona, ​​the company Habitat Inmobiliaria is experiencing a new stage of growth thanks to its largest shareholder since 2017, the investment fund Bain Capital. Gone are the years of losses and financial restructuring that led it into the hands of its creditor banks and subsequently to sale. Now, Bain Capital has strengthened its property developer significantly with the aim of consolidating its position amongst the leading players in the residential segment in Spain.

José Carlos Saz (pictured above) has been in charge of the firm since mid-2018. An industrial engineer from Madrid’s School of Engineering, Saz has held different positions in high-profile companies such as Mutua Madrileña, Abengoa and IGS. Prior to joining Habitat, Saz was Neinor’s Chief Operating Officer.
