Green Light Given to 19,000 New Homes in Los Ahijones, the New Development in the Southeast of Madrid

Almost 11,000 homes, -58% of the total-, will have some type of public protection in this area, which will span 5.7 million m2. Gestilar, Pryconsa, Vía Ágora and Habitat already own land there.

Madrid City Council has initially approved the modification of the Los Ahijones urbanisation project, one of the areas located in the Vicálvaro district of Madrid that forms part of the pending developments in the southeast of the city.

Over the last year, only seven of the 21 districts in Madrid have seen positive house price growth, since most have been hampered by the Covid-19 crisis, according to data collected by the real estate big data platform Brains RE.
