Goldman Sachs’ asset management division has committed itself to the logistics sector in Spain. The US investment bank launched Newdock, a platform specialising in investing, developing, and managing logistics and industrial assets in Spain and Portugal.
Goldman will invest one billion euros over the next three years to develop new assets. Its pipeline consists of seven projects, totalling a gross leasable area of 500,000 square metres, with an initial investment of 400 million euros.
It also has other projects to develop an additional 250,000 square metres. The first to be completed is located in Getafe and will be inaugurated in December.
