The property developer Gestilar has opted for alternative financing in the form of ‘crowdfunding’ and has signed an agreement with the real estate investment platform Urbanitae to carry out the construction of a residential development comprising 46 homes in Pozuelo de Alarcón (Madrid).
The total investment for the operation amounts to more than 11 million euros and Gestilar has structured it through a company already established exclusively for this project. Urbanitae, a platform authorised by the CNMV and the Bank of Spain to carry out participatory financing projects, is giving retail investors the opportunity to participate in the returns to be generated by the operation, raising a total of €675,000 from 158 investors during the peak of the pandemic.
