Fotocasa: House Prices Fell by 1.5% in Q3

The price of second-hand homes suffered a quarterly fall of 1.5% in Q3. However, prices did not decrease in all regions since the Basque Country, the Balearic Islands and Madrid all registered price increases.

In Spain, the price of second-hand homes suffered a quarterly fall of 1.5% in the third quarter of 2020 and a decrease of 2.4% in interannual terms taking the average price to 1,845 euros per square metre, according to Fotocasa.

This price decline in interannual terms has occurred after three consecutive years of positive data in this period, with growth of 4.8% in Q3 2017, 7.8% in Q3 2018 and 2.3% in Q3 2019.
