FDC Italia, a company connected to LDC Hotels & Residences, has acquired Palazzo Vivarelli Colonna in via Ghibellina, Florence. The purchase was made by Marco Casarola, President of LDC Hotels & Residences Italia, from CDP Real Asset, the owner of the property, as reported by Monitorimmobiliare.
Palazzo Vivarelli Colonna, previously owned by the Municipality of Florence, was acquired in 2014 and subsequently put up for sale by CDP with the support of Cushman & Wakefield.
The acquisition of Palazzo Vivarelli Colonna is part of a broader project aimed at restoring and enhancing prestigious buildings. In April 2022, Palazzo Portinari Salviati in via del Corso reopened to the public after restoration work. The fifteenth-century complex has been reintroduced to the city as a hotel and residential accommodation. The restoration of Palazzo Serristori, located on the Lungarno, is also underway, with a project involving the development of 14 apartments, most of which have already been sold through Lionard Luxury Real Estate.
For Palazzo Vivarelli Colonna, a 4,800-square-meter building with an additional 1,700 square meters of garden space, the group has a valorization project in place that includes luxury residential apartments on the upper floors. The ground floor will maintain its commercial and office use.
