During the first nine months of the year, 18,138 households were evicted from their homes, down by 55% compared to the 40,394 who were evicted between January and September 2019, according to figures published on Thursday by the General Council of the Judicial Power (CGPJ).
The data has been published at a time of great social and public tension, regarding the need or otherwise to continue suspending evictions, which have been prohibited by the Executive until 31 January.
