Spaniards with a mortgage who find themselves in a situation of economic vulnerability as a result of the coronavirus may request from today, Thursday, and up to 15 days after the term of the royal decree-law governing extraordinary measures, specifically, 3 May, a moratorium on the repayment of their mortgage for the acquisition of their habitual residence.
That is what has been established in the decree, published on Wednesday in the Official State Gazette (BOE), which sets out that requests for moratoriums on mortgages may be submitted from the day after the legislation enters into force, which means from today, Thursday, given that the legislation came into force yesterday.
