El Corte Inglés department store group is going to launch a new business unit dedicated to Real Estate with the aim of organising and generating value from its real estate assets. The new division will also be in charge of developing new logistics projects.
The decision was announced by the group’s President, Marta Álvarez Guil, at El Corte Inglés’s General Shareholders’ Meeting, which was held on Sunday. During the meeting, the Group’s accounts for the 2019 financial year were approved, and the implementation of several new projects was announced, including the real estate division. In addition, the Group’s travel division is being relaunched and the services provided by its financial subsidiary, which it controls together with Santander bank, are being expanded.
