El Corte Inglés is pushing ahead with its divestment strategy. On the same morning, two sales were announced: that of the Serantes building in the heart of Madrid’s financial district; and that of the former headquarters of Viajes El Corte Inglés, in the area near the Prado Museum.
Mapfre and Swiss Life Asset Managers are the buyers of the property located on Calle Alberto Bosch, 13; it spans 4,006 square metres and is located halfway between the art gallery and the Retiro Park. The news, which was first reported by El Periódico de España, has been confirmed by both the buyers and sellers.
