The Danish logistics transport company DSV announced that it would invest 80 million euros in two logistics warehouses in Spain.
The first, in Molins de Rei, Barcelona, will be ready in November. The other, in Cabanillas Park, Guadalajara, will open during the third quarter of 2022. Both will be equipped with the AutoStore system, which specialises in automatic order preparation processes.
The facility in Barcelona will have 18,000 square metres on one floor and 16,000 square metres on the other. It will have two separate entrances for trucks, with connections to the AP-2 and AP-7 motorways. The building will have solar panels on its roof, earning it the BREEAM Excellent distinction.
The Guadalajara site is DSV’s fifth warehouse in the area. It consists of 50,000 m2 with a single 12-metre-high floor, 84 loading bays and four access ramps.
