The apartment-rental platform Homelike has detected growing demand for accommodations for business travellers. In April, demand grew by 26% in Madrid, 46% in Barcelona and 27% in Valencia.

According to Samuel Toribio, the company’s Country Manager in Spain, this phenomenon is because foreign workers with the possibility of working remotely have moved to these accommodations in our country. “Spain is the perfect destination for professionals looking for good weather, reasonable prices and areas with good Internet connections,” added Toribio.

Despite this, the average monthly rental prices for accommodations for business travellers fell last year by 26% compared to 2019. Currently, the average price stands at 1,362 euros per month, including expenses. In Madrid, the cost is 1,390 euros per month, 1,482 euros per month in Barcelona, 971 euros in Valencia, 1,320 euros in Seville, dropping to 1,250 euros in Malaga and 1,190 euros per month in Alicante.
