In March, the Supreme Court (TS) dismissed the appeal filed by the Community of Madrid to stop the invalidity of the sale of 2,935 public homes to the Goldman Sachs-Azora joint venture, which was carried out in 2003 under the PP Government chaired by Ignacio González, for 201 million euros.
According to the ruling dated 9 March, the High Court rejected the claim filed by the Government chaired by Isabel Díaz Ayuso against the 12 December judgment, which ratified the annulment of the resolution dated 29 August 2013 for the sale of these protected homes worth 211 million euros. The last resort left to the regional government is to take the case to the Constitutional Court, but they have now renounced that option, according to Infolibre.
