Colonial closed the financial year 2022 with a strong increase in recurring net income, which amounted to 161 million euros, up by 26% compared to the previous year. That increase was driven by growth in income from Colonial’s asset portfolio, which thanks to its prime positioning is capable of capturing the impacts of indexation, as well as rent growth in signed contracts. In addition, the firm delivered several successful projects, which allowed it to obtain significant additional income.

“In an environment of macroeconomic uncertainty and rising interest rates, Colonial has demonstrated the high resilience of its prime model to continue boosting its growth and value generation,” explained Juan José Brugera, President of Colonial. “Our ability to capture above-market rent increases and the successful development of our project portfolio have led us to achieve one of the highest revenues in our history and to obtain double-digit growth across the main indicators of our business,” he added. Meanwhile, Pere Viñolas, CEO of Colonial, said “At the same time, the company has strengthened its balance sheet even further, with an adequate divestment policy that the market has recognised as valuable and that allows us to increase our already notable liquidity”.
