CBRE Investment Management, formerly CBRE Global Investors, is betting heavily on the Spanish residential market. As its CEO explained to Expansión, the firm has committed 465 million euros to develop affordable rental housing.
The company is confident that there is a lot of capital and interest in investing in this sector in the main cities throughout Spain. As a result, CBRE IM will participate in the tenders put forward to develop affordable rental housing in Spain’s various regions.
In addition to this investment, the developer has also committed to investing between 300 and 400 million a year in Spain. The Housing Law does not seem to have stopped its plans.
The investment in affordable housing will be made through its European Residential Impact Fund, which has an investment capacity of three billion euros.
