The banks CaixaBank and Bankia are negotiating an integration agreement for both companies that would result in the creation of the largest financial entity by assets in Spain, surpassed only by Santander and BBVA, with their significant international presence.
Both entities have confirmed that negotiations are underway, albeit still in the preliminary phase.
