In Spain, only 18% of the population currently lives in rental accommodation, a figure that is well below the European average. However, this situation is set to change over the coming years and that will require the development of 1.8 million rental homes to meet the new demand, according to the consulting firm Atlas Real Estate Analytics.
In this sense, between 2022 and 2023, the number of new rental homes (BTR) is expected to exceed 9,000 units between public and private development, as the firm explained to brainsre.news.
