With this operation, the American tour operator is reinforcing its presence in Spain, where it has 12 establishments and 4,130 rooms in Tenerife, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, along with ten more in the Balearic Islands. It operates through its hotel division AMResorts.
As for the purchase operation, this is the London-based fund’s first in the Spanish market. It involves three hotels in Tenerife, which together have a total of 1,224 rooms. Moreover, 20 million euros will be invested in their renovation to adapt them to the standards of the Alúa brand, under which the firm will operate in Spain.
