Blackstone has decided to renew its residential portfolio in Spain, which comprises more than 70,000 assets. From today, the US fund will start with the sale of 2,100 properties that it controls through its Socimi Albirana Properties.
These homes are distributed throughout the country, mainly in Cataluña, Madrid and Levante. They form part of the Hercules portfolio, which Blackstone acquired from Catalunya Caixa in 2014 and which included 40,000 doubtful loans, for which it paid 3.6 billion euros.
