
During 2020, around 170,000 square metres of office was leased in Barcelona. In this way, the absorption rate was lower than in 2019 because operations involving offices spanning more than 3,000 square metres decreased considerably, according to Savills Aguirre Newman.
During the first quarter of 2021, operations that were left open at the end of the fourth quarter of 2020 are expected to be closed, which will provide something of a boost to the start of the year in Barcelona’s workspace market.
