The public company Habitatge Metròpolis Barcelona has put out for tender the construction of 4,500 officially protected homes in the Barcelona metropolitan area for a value of 159.6 million euros.
The operator that wins the bid will create a company that will be jointly-owned by the Barcelona City Council and the Barcelona Metropolitan Area (AMB), making it a public-private body. The capital contribution from the private shareholder will amount to between 57.9 million euros and 103.8 million euros.
