The Barcelona City Council, through the Municipal Institute of Housing and Rehabilitation, has announced the winning proposals of a public tender for the cession of land for the construction new affordable housing developments. The three cooperatives will build new co-housing developments on municipal property in the districts of Sants-Montjuïc, Sant Andreu and Nou Barris.
The winning cooperatives include La Mangala (Sotrac), which will build a 45-unit subsidized housing development on Carrer de la Constitució, 43; Cohabitem Sant Andreu, which had offered to construct a 30-unit development Sant Andreu; and Cohousing Barcelona, SCCL, for the construction of a 27-unit affordable housing project on Carrer Aiguablava, 74-76, in Trinitat Nova.
