Barcelona Approves the Change of Use for the ‘El Corte Inglés’ Building on Plaza Francesc Macià

The municipal government has approved the change of use to "office" for all of the property's floors, with the exception of four that may still be used for commercial purposes.

Barcelona City Council’s Government Committee has given the green light to the special plan for the change of use of a building that is still home to El Corte Inglés on Plaza Francesc Macià.

The modification has been promoted by the current owner of the property, the company Mersan Assets Management, which acquired the building last year from the department store chain for 151.5 million euros, according to La Vanguardia.
