A new large luxury hotel project is looming on the horizon of the Spanish real estate market. The Barceló Hotel Group has completed the sale of the Formentor Hotel in Mallorca to the investment fund Emin Capital, after the purchase option agreed in 2019 materialised.
The transaction, which amounted to 165 million euros, includes the sale of the 1,200-hectare estate in the Mallorcan municipality of Pollensa where the historic hotel is located, as well as a vineyard and a hunting ground.
