Bankinter has reduced its stake in Atom, the hotel Socimi that it created in January 2018 with Global Myner Advisors Capital Invest (GMA), although it is still the largest shareholder. The bank decreased its stake from 7.37% to 6.9%, according to records from Spain’s National Stock Market Commission. Meanwhile, Global Myner continues as the second-largest shareholder with a 3.74% stake.
Atom Hoteles earned €3.2 million in 2019, up by 15% YoY compared to the previous year. Nevertheless, last year’s result was 67% lower than predicted in November 2018, when the Socimi forecast that it would earn €9.6 million in 2019. Meanwhile, the operating income, as recognised by the company in its audited consolidated annual accounts, was €12 million in 2019, down by 28% compared to forecast.
