Australia’s Aware Super Invests €600 Million in Vivenio

The Australian fund will buy stakes in the Dutch firm APG and Renta Corporación for 400 million euros and will contribute a further 200 million euros to additional investments.

Vivenio, the socimi owned by Renta Corporación and the Dutch fund APG, has been joined by the Australian pension fund Aware Super, which has become a shareholder in the investment vehicle.

Aware Super has committed to invest a total of 600 million euros, between acquiring 400 million euros in shares and putting up another 200 million euros in additional investment.

The new partners have also agreed on a share purchase and sale process so that at the end of the process, APG and Aware Super will have an equal stake in Vivenio’s share capital. The agreement includes a commitment by Aware Super to launch a takeover bid to the remaining minority shareholders of Vivenio.
