The Socimi acquired the hotel from Senator Hotels & Resorts on 3 December 2019 for €15 million in a sale and leaseback operation, whereby the Senator chain has continued as the operator and tenant of the property. At the time, the company said that it intended to refurbish the hotel.
Atom Hoteles now owns 23 hotels with more than 5,500 rooms. It was founded in January 2018 by Bankinter and GMA and has been listed on the Alternative Investment Market (MAB) since November 2018.
