The giant multinational Amazon has acquired several plots of land totalling 40,000 m2 of land in the industrial estate of Espíritu Santo in the municipality of Cambre, La Coruña, according to the newspaper La Opinión de A Coruña.
The new logistics warehouse to be developed will serve as the multinational’s delivery base in La Coruña. The industrial estate has easy access to the National-VI road, which connects the city with Madrid, and the Artabra road, where works to link it with the AP-9 motorway are currently underway.
Previously, Amazon had considered acquiring 10,000 square metres of land in the Alvedro industrial estate, which belongs to the municipality of Culleredo. This operation was not carried out, and the company has opted for this location.
