Albert Costafreda Buys the Hotel Curious in Barcelona for €6 Million

The real estate asset has changed hands three times in the last two years. Firstly, it was sold by a family office to Enter Sandman; and now, Albert Costafreda's firm has snapped it up.

Albert Costafreda, the eldest son of the founder of Panrico, has completed one of the latest purchases in the hotel sector in Barcelona. The building is located on Calle Carme number 25, in the heart of the old town and is managed by Alegría Hotels. It opened last spring and houses the Hotel Curious, the first urban hotel from the chain founded by Joan Pascual, which previously belonged to the Russian tourist attraction agency NT Incoming.

According to elEconomista.es, the buyer has paid six million euros for the building. The property has changed owners three times in the last two years. First, a family office sold it to the property company Enter Sandman, whose investors include Miquel Laborde and Gerard Marcet, the founding partners of the real estate consultancy Laborde Marcet. Now, ES has sold the property to one of Albert Costafreda’s investment firms.
