Alantra’s profits are down. As published by the company itself, net revenues decreased by 19.2% to 165.1 million euros compared to the record earnings registered during the same period in 2021. Income from the Investment Banking division decreased by 25.7% to reach 101.3 million euros.
Alantra’s struggles reflect the general macroeconomic context that accompanies the figures, specifically, the drop in M&A activity at a global level, which is down by -32%, according to Dealogic’s Q3 Global M&A Highlights report. According to Alantra, the decrease was partially offset by a 12.1% increase in revenues from Credit Portfolio Advisory, to 37.6 million euros.
