A total of 40 operators of hotel, restaurant and retail services have sent a letter to the President of Aena, Maurici Lucena, calling for the creation of a negotiating table to address the exit from lockdown. Their proposals include a new price framework for their rents, according to El Confidencial.

The main problem lies in the guaranteed annual minimum (MAG), the base fee paid by these tenants, which they have continued to pay for the last these months, despite the total closure or minimum activity across the airport manager’s national network as a result of the lockdown. In addition to that cost, tenants will have to pay their rents again once the State of Emergency comes to an end.
